Polisher / Stocker

Position Summary :

The Stocker / Polisher is responsible for polishing silverware and stocking glassware, utensils and other supplies and restaurant equipment. This role helps to maintain the appearance of the dining room ensuring a neat and professional place for customers to dine. They are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs : Hospitality, Quality, Family and Value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Restock the dining room and expo line with china, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments and linen, and maintain adequate supplies in the work stations when the dining room is open
• Maintain cleanliness of the overall dining room including walls and shelves
• Polish all glasses and silverware to be used in the dining room
• Ensure working areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift
• Stock shelves, racks, tables and service stations with new or transferred supplies
• Perform all opening and closing side work as required
• Follow company and equipment standards, including completing any assigned training to operate job specific equipment
• Fold napkins and make extra place settings
• Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times
• May perform other duties as assigned

Skills :

Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate verbally with other dining room staff in a fast-paced environment. Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to feel, pull, push, and lift. Ability to stand for long periods of time and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
