The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology is responsible for managing patients throughout their care continuum, including assessment, procedural care, and recovery from anesthesia. This role involves performing a variety of minimally invasive procedures such as angiography and embolization, while working part-time and covering on-call duties. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have 2 years of relevant experience along with strong communication skills.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for :

• Managing patients in Interventional Radiology throughout the continuum of care.
• Patient assessment, procedural care, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Interventional radiology is a procedural unit that operates Monday-Friday for scheduled cases and covers emergencies on off hours for both ambulatory and inpatients. IR performs a wide range of sterile and non-sterile procedures using minimally invasive techniques; Some examples include Angiography, Sclerotherapy, Embolization, Needle Biopsy, Vascular Access, Cryoablation, Radiofrequency Ablation, thrombectomy, and Gastrojejunostomy exchanges.
• Working 10-hour day and evening shifts, 30 hours per week between the hours of 6am-7pm Monday - Friday and call rotations.
• On Call rotations for nights / weekends / holidays are typically 2-3 weeknights / month, 6-7 weekends a year, and 1 holiday / year.
• Must be able to report to the hospital within 45 minutes when on call.
