Job Description

As a Security Professional - Telecom Dispatch Full-Time in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a leading technology and media location, you will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include handling communications, coordinating with onsite teams, and supporting access control procedures. You will remain visible to help deter incidents and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Operate dispatch systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities throughout the location, maintaining communication with on-site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to the appropriate parties.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Track and document events and incidents as required, maintaining detailed and accurate records of activities.
  • Assist in managing access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Assist with regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter, communicating any observed irregularities to the appropriate personnel.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
