Production Technician

Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Production Technician (Computer / Software Industrial Technician) to join their team. With this position, you will be part of the warehouse department supporting the production floor. The ideal candidate will have attention-to-detail, good organization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range : $20.00 - $24.00 / hr depending on experience

Job Type : Temp-to-hire

Hours / Location : 7 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm / Plano, TX

Our client in Plano, TX, is seeking a Production Technician to join their team. This role supports the production floor, customizing, configuring, and testing hardware for servers, laptops, and racks. The ideal candidate will have an interest or background in hardware / software technology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What's the Job?

• Install and configure various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) across a range of hardware
• Create and configure RAID arrays
• Flash customer BIOS and firmware
• Install software images (via PXE or internal / external storage)
• Assemble and customize computer hardware per build documentation
• Perform diagnostic testing using tools such as PCDr, MemTest, and SeaTools
• Identify, quarantine, and troubleshoot defective hardware
• Inspect systems and accessories for quality
• Record production activities and report issues
• Support packing / unpacking of materials
• Move batches of computers between stations for configuration and packaging
• Work extended hours during peak production periods
• Assist with assembly technician tasks as needed
