Senior Oracle Database Developer (Jersey City)

Job Title : Senior Oracle Database Developer - W2 only - We can provide sponsorship as well

Duration : Long Term

Location : Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid - 2 weeks in a month onsite - Local preferred

They are going to need strong Oracle DB developers, to help out with this work, and someone who can read SQL or understand SQL (not code) because Geneva is written in SQL.

Years of Exp : 10+, senior resource, need someone who can hit the ground running, no hand holding and is a team player.

Must Have :

we need a Senior Level Oracle Database Developer, that is the number one skillset.

They will also want someone who has SQL skills as mentioned above, don't need the ability to code in SQL, and query work.

Would like some Python and Shell Scripting.

10+ years of hands on experience as a database developer in Oracle

• Strong data analysis, design, and coding skills
• Strong RDBMS skills SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions, views, table partitioning
• Knows how to restrict access through roles, user privileges and object privileges
• Has done performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Has used SQL Loader to load large files.
• Has used SQL Plus command.
• Knowledge of Oracle AQ messaging.
• Has developed Python scripts for data handling.
• Comfortable working on Linux servers and writing shell programs.
• Experience working with team in Agile methodology
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus
• 5+ years work experience in financial industry preferably in Capital markets / Prime brokerage.
• Understand glossaries and terminologies in financial industry
• Knowledge of accounting concepts is nice to have.
• Prime Brokerage application development experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Good communication skill to both technology folks and business partners.
• Quick learner, adaptable, has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy solutions.
