Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department
  • Night shift position with 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Patient population and case types typical for an acute care MRI department
  • Duties include performing MRI procedures per protocol, administering IV contrast under supervision, and utilizing departmental imaging systems
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Responsibilities include patient identification, exam preparation, protocol selection with radiologist guidance, and quality image production
  • Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, MR scanner operations, and MRI safety policies expected
  • Follows infection control, sterile technique, and MRI emergency procedures including the FOUR ZONE concept
  • Required to complete controlled substance and moderate sedation training modules when applicable, post-hire
  • Permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before eligibility for travel assignments
  • Time off requests are subject to approval based on institutional policy

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • Active ARRT credential required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Utah State Licensure required for Utah positions to administer medication
  • License required if applicable
  • Ability to meet departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire
  • Physical abilities include hearing, lifting, manual dexterity, vision, and standing for extended periods
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • No pending licenses accepted for consideration
  • Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration
