Staff Environmental Air Engineer
The Staff Environmental Air Engineer will contribute to a broad range of air quality and permitting projects within a dynamic environmental services practice, supporting industrial clients across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare air permit applications for large-scale projects, including Title V permits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal air quality regulations.
- Apply technical expertise across various complex industrial processes; experience in the refining industry is a plus.
- Monitor and interpret changes in air permitting regulations, emission calculation methodologies, and compliance standards.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders; interest in international project work is welcomed.
- Ability to contribute to business development by leveraging client relationships is preferred.
- Support marketing efforts and participate in occasional travel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.A Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one year of required experience.Previous experience in consulting is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external professionals.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Must have a valid drivers license and meet applicable company driving standards.
