Schedule / Hours : Full-time, evening shifts, with call requirements including some overnight and weekend slots.
Major Responsibilities :
Prepare surgical areas, materials, supplies, and equipment using aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient care.Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.Ensure operational efficiency in the surgical space and manage equipment effectively.Act as a Second Assistant as necessary and transport patients and supplies as needed.Maintain surgical carts and items, checking equipment and sterility.Understand patient needs and demonstrate knowledge of age-specific requirements.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of employment.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.Experience Required :
No prior experience necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Understanding of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room procedures.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
