    • Schedule Details / Additional Information :

    $10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available.

    $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible for PM Shifts at Aurora St Luke's Medical Center.

    Schedule / Hours : Full-time, evening shifts, with call requirements including some overnight and weekend slots.

    Major Responsibilities :

  • Prepare surgical areas, materials, supplies, and equipment using aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Ensure operational efficiency in the surgical space and manage equipment effectively.
  • Act as a Second Assistant as necessary and transport patients and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain surgical carts and items, checking equipment and sterility.
  • Understand patient needs and demonstrate knowledge of age-specific requirements.

    • Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of employment.

    • Education Required :

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.

    • Experience Required :

  • No prior experience necessary.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

  • Understanding of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and performing various physical tasks as needed.
  • Exposure to various hazards and the requirement to wear safety equipment.
