Job Summary

As an IT Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and effective use of all systems and technology resources at the location. Detailed responsibilities include :

  • Configure back-end programming of items across point-of-sale systems.
  • Maintain digital menu boards to show the correct menu items and pricing using IPTV.
  • Set up points-of-sale (POS) with and connect necessary peripheral devices (credit card readers, printers, etc).
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate Point of Sale devices.
  • Assisting with the performance of all IT based applications and systems at the location.
  • Conducting proactive maintenance of systems and IT infrastructure at the location.
  • Consistently follow IT service priorities to ensure the best support and communication to their locations, regional support teams and the Home Office.
  • Provide systems support.
  • Manage location system issue logs.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled calls with Home Office personnel and vendors to review outstanding issues.
  • Maintain inventory counts of all field-based systems by location and service offering within their respective region.
  • Ensure systems and servers are properly patched, on a consistent version of software, and running in a stable environment throughout their region on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist in the execution of system installations and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for local IT support.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Skills and experience :

  • BS / MS in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience, equivalent skill.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience supporting POS systems in the restaurant / hospitality business is preferred.
  • Core skills such as network, database, and scripting.
  • Able to work independently without close supervision.
  • Able to analyze issues and problems and know and follow escalation plan.
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Experience with cloud-based POS (Appetize, Bypass, VenueNext) is preferred.
  • Experience with PCI compliance is preferred.
