We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in grading design, stormwater management, sanitary sewer systems, erosion control, and hydrologic / hydraulic modeling . The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and prepare civil engineering plans and reports for site development projects including grading, drainage, stormwater management, sanitary sewer systems, and erosion control.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, SWMM, Civil 3D).
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
- Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and erosion / sediment control plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in permitting processes and support clients through regulatory review cycles.
- Interpret and apply relevant municipal, state, and federal codes and standards (e.g., EPA, FEMA, local drainage manuals).
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to quality assurance and peer reviews.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).PE preferred but will consider an EIT6–10 years of experience in site / civil engineering, with specific expertise in :Grading and earthwork designStormwater design and modelingSanitary sewer designErosion and sediment controlHydrology / hydraulicsProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant hydrology software (e.g., HydroCAD, StormCAD, InfoWorks).Strong technical writing and communication skills.Familiarity with environmental permitting processes (e.g., NPDES, MS4).Preferred Skills :
