Job Description

JAN Resources is seeking an experienced Production Chemical Engineer to join our Energy Services team, specializing in H₂S treatment, Triazine-based scavengers, production chemicals, and frac chemical applications. This role is hands-on and requires both lab and field expertise, with a focus on safely and effectively scaling chemical solutions for oilfield operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Chemicals & H₂S Treatment : Formulate, test, and implement chemical treatment programs including H₂S scavengers (Triazine) and production optimization chemicals.

Frac Chemical Development : Support frac fluid formulation, compatibility testing, and scale-up for field applications.

Lab-to-Field Scaling : Transition new products and formulations from R&D / lab testing to full field deployment, ensuring reliable performance and cost-effectiveness.

Chemical Handling & Safety : Oversee safe handling, blending, and application of oilfield chemicals, ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety standards.

Troubleshooting & Optimization : Analyze well failures, perform field testing, and provide technical support to improve production outcomes.

Collaboration : Work with operations, sales, and field teams to deliver chemical programs that align with client needs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.

3+ years of verifiable oil and gas chemical experience (production chemicals, frac fluids, or H₂S treatment).

Proven track record in formulation, testing, and scaling from lab to field applications.

Strong knowledge of H₂S scavengers / Triazine products and frac fluid systems.

Hands-on field experience with chemical handling and oilfield applications.

Background in R&D within the energy services sector.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation

Salary : $110,000 - $150,000 - DOE
