Pharmacy Technician Overview

The Pharmacy Technician in Participant Services provides direct support to members, prescribers, and internal departments by managing inbound requests, resolving issues, and ensuring timely responses. This position plays a critical role in maintaining positive member experiences and operational efficiency by acting as the initial point of contact for member inquiries prior to pharmacist intervention when necessary. Technicians are responsible for handling calls, mail, and system tasks related to Participant Services requests, while partnering with teams such as Pharmacy, Shipping, Customer Care, Finance, Claims Processing, and Eligibility. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple queues and databases. Depending on performance, site location, and departmental need, this position may offer the ability to work from home.
