The successful candidate will be entrusted with managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, contributing directly to the overall financial health of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records by documenting daily transactions.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable activities promptly and accurately.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Implement bookkeeping and accounting systems using software programs to record financial transactions.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports; process adjustments as necessary.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Manage payroll processing and report financial irregularities to management.
- Provide administrative support through effective filing and organization of financial documents.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecast reports for departmental planning.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and external vendors and resolve discrepancies in financial reports.
- Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills.
Requirements
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field; alternatively, current college accounting students are encouraged to apply.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize duties to meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.Capability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.Hands-on experience with accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and general ledgers.High levels of integrity and dependability.
