Description
Position Summary
Allied World seeks an individual to serve in the role of Sr. Project Coordinator to support the implementation and ongoing management of North America underwriting platforms. This role will assist in coordinating initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth communication between underwriting, technology teams, and operations.
Responsibilities include :
- Project Coordination Support the planning and execution of Underwriting transformation initiativesAddress Underwriting issues, vendor questions, or technological risks to mitigate impact to project timelinesRecognize and escalate issues that occur during project execution by tracking action items, risks, and dependencies across cross functional teams
- Team Support Work closely with underwriting, technology, and vendor partners to support business requirements gathering and testingAssist with scheduling meetings, maintaining project plans, and documenting key decisionsPrepare status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder updatesIdentify and deliver on opportunities for continuous process improvement
- Process & Documentation Maintain project artifacts, including meeting notes, requirements documents, and issue logsEnsure updates are reflected in Jira, Confluence, or other project management toolsHelp support adoption activities, including training coordination and user communicationsReport on project metrics including progress, resource utilization, risks and issues
Qualifications
Education, Skills, and Experience Knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty products and processesMinimum of three (3) years of experience in technical product delivery within commercial insurancePrior experience in underwriting systems implementation, management, and change support, with preferences for experience with Appian or equivalent low code productProject leadership using Agile methodology, with hands-on experience using tools like JiraProven experience in project managementKnowledge of SDLC, integrations (e.g. REST APIs, AWS, etc.) and DevOps practicesAbility to translate insurance business needs into technology requirementsExperience managing release cycles, issue tracking and vendorsStrong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsQualifications
