Job Title : Sanitation Technician

Job Description

As a Sanitation Technician in our food production facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness standards, sanitizing equipment, and following strict hygiene protocols to uphold food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of production equipment, workspaces, and other designated areas to prevent contamination.
  • Utilize cleaning agents and sanitation tools effectively to ensure the elimination of bacteria and pathogens.
  • Follow established sanitation procedures and schedules to maintain a consistent level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate cleaning activities, minimizing disruptions to workflow.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address sanitation issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Document and report sanitation activities, including any issues or deviations from standard procedures.
  • Assist in training new staff members on sanitation protocols and practices.

Essential Skills

  • Understanding of sanitation principles, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a hygienic workspace.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sanitation within a food production environment is preferred.

    Work Environment

    This role involves working in a food production facility, requiring adherence to safety protocols, protective gear usage, and exposure to various cleaning agents. The work is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads, and stamina to stand for extended periods.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
