Academic Support Teacher – LOOP Program
Department : Community and Student Affairs

Program Dates : August – May
JOB SUMMARY
Provide quality academic instruction for students attending the LOOP summer school program and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. Program days are Monday – Thursday and academic session instructions are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for one hour. Program hours will vary depending on the LOOP site dismissal times. The hours per week are hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience :
Prior to working with students, complete LARA (PA 116) mandated requirements : Comprehensive Childcare Background Check (CCBC) including fingerprinting by LARA approved agencies (no cost to applicant)
Obtain CCBC eligibility to work in a licensed childcare facility
Complete MiRegistry Health and Safety Online Modules A, B, C and Transportation or annual Health and Safety Refresher Course; submit learning record transcript to Office of Extended Learning upon completion of MiRegistry Health and Safety Courses or refresher course trainings.
Module A MUST be completed before working with students.
Obtain First Aid Certification and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation by LARA approved agencies; submit ARC / AHA ce1iificate / card to Office of Extended Learning upon completion

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is performed indoors although there will be required outdoor activities. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
