Building Kidz of AZ is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with an upbeat, positive attitude to fill the role of CACFP Program Administrator. This position is responsible for overseeing the federal food program (CACFP) for three center locations in the Gilbert, Mesa, and Chandler area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CACFP administration, ensuring full compliance and optimizing program benefits for our childcare centers. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of nutrition compliance across our centers.

Key Responsibilities

CACFP Program Administration :

  • Ensure compliance with all CACFP regulations and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with site directors to maintain accurate daily attendance records, meal counts, menus, food purchases, and program expenses.
  • Provide guidance and support to childcare centers on meal planning, nutrition education, and menu compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accurate record-keeping and program compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and maximize program benefits.
  • Research state and federal grant opportunities relevant to childcare centers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of eligibility criteria, application requirements, and deadlines for various grants.
  • Work closely with childcare center directors and staff to identify funding needs and priorities.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals, including all supporting documents.
  • Track grant progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Efficient time management skills with proficient computer and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong understanding of CACFP regulations and experience managing the program.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills as needed.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be influential, persuasive, communicative, with strong administrative abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable providing training in various group sizes or on a 1 : 1 basis.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel, and / or Google products, Google Sheets, and Documents.
  • Kid Kare experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and be active for long periods.
