Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of medium-sized projects or functions within larger initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Project Manager will serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects and will lead Joint Project Teams (JPTs) using proven project management principles and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of projects from initiation through completion.
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, and performance risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to meet project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Apply leadership competencies including communication, business acumen, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain accountability for project budgets exceeding $8M or portfolios totaling over $25M.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent education, training, or work experience may be considered.
  • Actively pursuing Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.

    • Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing utility projects or equivalent functional area experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical problems and perform cost estimation.
  • Proven track record in managing medium-sized projects or components of larger programs.

    • Certifications :

  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desired.

    • Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with TVA-SPP-34.018 standards for Project Manager Training and Development.
