About the Role

This role provides strategic leadership and direction for Underwriters, Account Managers, and Placement Specialists working with professional liability insurance and other P&C coverage offerings. In addition, the role oversees all aspects of policy administration for a variety of commercial lines policies.

The Day-to-Day

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments and externally with carriers, vendors, brokers, and customers.
  • Drive individual and team performance to meet stated KPIs (key performance indicators) and service levels while continuously enhancing the overall ease of doing business for our customers.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to team members on an individual basis through monthly one-on-one meetings.
  • Support the team by answering daily questions, providing ongoing developmental training, encouraging self-directed research, and motivating team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, foster employee development, and promote a positive team atmosphere.
  • Review and analyze systems, processes, and data to improve workflow and increase efficiency through the application of technology.
  • Partner with supporting teams to identify and implement best practices that ensure seamless handoffs and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all regulatory, compliance, and transparency requirements are met and that internal policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Effectively lead workforce located in multi-site locations servicing multiple lines of business and products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant management / project experience preferred.
  • Leadership, customer service, or insurance experience required.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and proactive problem solving skills.
  • Team building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Detail oriented to ensure accuracy.
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
