ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : in charge of the designated nursing functions during his / her shift. Evaluates, plans, and implements adequate resident care and prevention of illnesses. Provides direct care, to the residents, and delegates and supervises the care provided by AMI's / C N A's.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS :

• Assigns specific duties to the AMIs on his / her shift and provides adequate supervision of those AMIs to ensure completion of these assignments
• Participates in developing, implementing, and revising of the resident's service plan
• Identifies, reports, and documents incidents / accidents & participates in investigation of
• Incidents.
• Prepares, administers, & evaluates response to medication and treatments as ordered by
• physician & documents
• Assists residents in ordering or reordering their medications
• Documents nursing activities accurately and timely & keeps medical records current
• Identifies and reports changes in residents' status to physicians, responsible parties
• Orients new employees as assigned
• Coordinates and participates in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
• Communicates resident problems, needs, complaints, or other concerns with Nursing Director in a timely manner
• Responds to emergency situations and obtains assistance as necessary. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Assures resident's rights are protected; protects residents from abuse or neglect
• Practices and assures AMIs adhere to infection control policies and procedures

Compensation : 35,000
