The Farmers Insurance Eugene District Office is looking for a seasoned insurance professional to join our leadership team as an Agency Business Consultant (ABC). We're seeking someone with at least 3 years of insurance industry experience and active P&C and Life & Health licenses who can immediately step in and make a measurable impact.

As an ABC, you'll be the go-to expert for agency owners in Eugene and surrounding areas, consulting on everything from sales growth to team development and operational excellence. You'll work closely with the District Manager and office staff, who bring energy, drive, and a hunger to grow.

Responsibilities

Business Coaching & Strategy

Conduct regular performance reviews with agency owners (in-person and virtual)
Analyze agency production and retention metrics and advise on growth strategies
Provide expert guidance on managing a book of business and scaling operations

Training & Development

Identify skill gaps and deliver targeted training for agents and their teams

Facilitate workshops on sales, customer service, compliance, and product knowledge

Support onboarding for new agents and staff

Performance Management

Monitor KPIs and coach agency owners on hitting benchmarks

Track progress and report insights to the District Manager

Help underperforming agencies get back on track

Marketing & Business Growth

Consult on lead generation, community outreach, and digital marketing

Provide tools and advice to help agents grow across P&C, Life, Commercial, and Financial Services

Operational Support

Assist with staffing strategies and hiring processes

Recommend improvements to agency workflows and client service models

Support agents through change management, system updates, and promotions

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance industry (agency, carrier, or consulting)

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) licenses

Deep understanding of the day-to-day operations of an insurance agency

Confidence in coaching agents, analyzing performance data, and offering solutions

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with agency management systems or CRMs

Bachelors degree preferred, but not required with strong industry background
