The Client seeks to augment the capacity of the Institutional Excellence team with an experienced Instructional Design consultant to develop multi- modal learning content, deploying the content to a Learning Management System (LMS), manage a content repository (the Performance Excellence Platform), and measure the impact of Institutional Excellence learning initiatives. The Instructional Designer will work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and the L&D team to create engaging, effective learning experiences that are aligned with districtwide goals and the implementation of a performance management process. The role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, technical expertise, and learning impact assessment skills to design and implement effective learning solutions that enhance the employee learner experience and drive success across CCC’s institutional health goals, strategic plan goals and KPI targets.
LMS System, Deployment and Content Management
- Deploy and manage learning content within the LMS (Brightspace), ensuring seamless integration, accessibility, and user experience.
- Design, maintain, and update a single content repository (Performance Excellence Platform) via SharePoint to ensure that all learning materials are organized, up-to-date, and easy to access for learners and facilitators.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot technical issues related to content delivery and learner access to Brightspace or SharePoint.
- The Performance Excellence Platform must meet all applicable accessibility standards, including full compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The platform must support screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast requirements, closed captioning for multimedia, and other inclusive design features to ensure equitable access for all users, including individuals with disabilities.
- The final solution must be delivered within the existing CCC technology infrastructure, specifically through either Brightspace (D2L) or Microsoft SharePoint. Proposals must reflect this constraint. Solutions outside of these platforms will not be considered.
