Our Longmont, CO team is developing industry-leading satellite mechanisms, deployable structures, solar array systems, and space antennas for the global space market. As an Electronics Engineering Technician, you will contribute to the assembly, testing, and verification of advanced RF and microwave systems, supporting rapid prototyping and production of space-based communications hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret complex technical schematics and ensure accuracy during build, assembly, and testing phases.
- Perform advanced soldering and rework, including surface mount assembly of components as small as 0402, using tools such as hot tweezers, hot plates, and reflow ovens.
- Build and test multi-wire cable harnesses, develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and conduct verification testing.
- Participate in the assembly and testing of RF electronics hardware, including active and passive antennas.
- Troubleshoot using Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
- Support integration of electronic components for rapid prototyping.
- Provide input for work instructions and procedures related to electronics soldering, assembly, and testing.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on experience with electronic systems, including analog, digital, and RF subsystems.Strong proficiency in RF circuit assembly and testing.Experience with high-reliability products within a quality management system.Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail in handling small parts and fasteners.One or more of the following certifications : J-STD-001 (soldering), IPC-6018, IPC-6010.Familiarity with electrical and RF schematics.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience with antenna measurements and RF / microwave circuits.Ability to multitask across soldering, harness building, and system testing.Familiarity with Altium Designer for schematic and layout design.Certifications such as IPC JSTD-001 w / Space Addendum, IPC 620 (Harnessing), IPC 7711 / 7721 CIS (Soldering Rework).Ability to assist in RF PCB and electronics design.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical data.Why Join Us?
