Job Title : Data Engineer

Location :  Hybrid / Worcester County

Overture Partners' client has an immediate need for a Data Engineer. To secure an interview for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria :

Must Haves :

Strong Java development (Java 8+, Spring Framework, JPA, JDBC, REST, Hibernate, Maven, Git, Jenkins).

Proficiency in Java, SQL, Python, and Scala (in order of priority).

Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, data modeling (relational, NoSQL, ER, hierarchical), and real-time integration (Kafka, Azure Service Bus).

Debugging and performance optimization for large-scale data systems.

Experience with Agile, DevOps, TDD, and mentoring junior engineers.

5+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, and integration.

5+ years of Java development and Spring Framework experience.

Insurance domain knowledge required. What the Client Needs you to Do :

We are seeking a self-motivated and adaptable Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data integrations, pipelines, and solutions across internal and external systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with business partners and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions (Azure + on-premise).

Profile, model, and analyze large data sets to support business needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data and reporting solutions.

Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance in real-time and batch processes.

Document processes and mentor junior engineers. Educational Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

Preferred : Azure DP-203 or equivalent certification. Additional Information :
