Job Description
Position : Associate Patient Care - Student Nurse (STNA or Non-STNA)
Location : Adena Pike Hospital, Waverly, Ohio
Shift : Nights- 2-12 hour shifts - Rotating weekends and holidays.
Position Summary

In this position, you'll work directly with patients on a variety of care activities including :
You may also assist the nursing team with clerical duties, including communication with care providers, patients, and families-both in person and by phone. Working alongside a dedicated team and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you'll help achieve the best possible outcomes for every patient you serve.

Qualifications
Education
Required : High School Diploma, GED, or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
Preferred : Completion of a CNA, Patient Care Tech, STNA, or equivalent program, or current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing.
Phlebotomy training preferred.
Certifications & Licenses
Required :
De-escalation training (within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire)
Preferred : Current licensure / certification as applicable
Experience
Preferred :
1-2 years of direct patient care and clerical experience
Familiarity with medical terminology
6 months of nursing assistant experience OR successful completion of an STNA or PCA prep course OR student nurse experience
