BOSI helps plan and manage a budget of over $3 billion that includes the facilities and general services operating expenses the construction capital expenses and even some revenue from food sales parking permits and third party property leases.

As the BOSI Business Analyst youll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Facilities Construction. Facilities Construction oversees and executes on major renovations such as the 300 Pasteur Drive Renewal Program ( and new construction such as new multi-specialty outpatient clinics in Redwood City ( Your work will support the Facilities Construction project teams by ensuring that capital projects like these are funded through capital appropriations and purchase order requisitioning and that project invoices are processed for timeline payment.

An ideal candidate is a dynamic and adaptable team member who has a keen eye for detail ensuring accuracy and quality in a wide variety of tasks. This role will support business data management and financial scopes including :

  • Budget Planning :

Support the strategic planning and management of capital and operating expense budgets. Collaborate closely with the BOSI Business Manager to craft and oversee the annual budget ensuring financial alignment with our goals.

  • Capital Project Set Up :
  • Lead the setup of new capital projects as requested by our Facilities Construction teams ensuring a seamless transition from planning to execution.

  • Capital Appropriations and Requisitions :
  • Lead the processing of capital appropriations and requisitioning of capital purchase orders for construction projects ensuring compliance and efficiency.

  • Invoice Processing and Audit :
  • Lead the processing and auditing of construction vendor invoices and general contractor pay applications maintaining financial integrity and accountability.

  • Ad Hoc Reporting :
  • Provide analytical support for Facilities Services by delivering timely and insightful reporting as needed helping to inform strategic decisions.

  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement in our processes fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Operational Excellence :
  • Collaborate closely with the Capital Finance team to ensure operational success across the enterprise driving initiatives that enhance our overall performance.

    A Brief Overview

    The Business Analyst works on analysis and projects within the designated department. The Business Analyst will drive and manage projects in areas of responsibility as outlined below. The role includes managing data requests including internal and regulatory agency audits extracting and analyzing data and preparing reports on various aspects such as reimbursement trends and budget variances.

  • Manages assigned projects in the designated department.
  • Performs data analysis and summarizes findings for management.
  • Prepares responses to data requests and assists with audits from outside agencies and internal self-monitoring.
  • Reviews budgets and analyzes and reports on budget variances.
  • Works to improve documentation practices. Provides ongoing effective feedback to stakeholders that facilitate improvements.
  • Maintains policies and procedures along with adherence to them.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a work-related field / discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Experience Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
  • Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $42.49 - $55.24 per hour

    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
