Overview

The Distribution Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the efficient and effective operation of the company's primary warehouse / distribution location, logistics, and inventory control functions. This role also involves management oversight of the day-to-day multi-location store operations of Automotive Color & Supply, with individual Store Managers reporting to this position. This individual is ultimately measured on the efficient flow of material from warehouse to end user and safeguarding the assets and resources associated thereof. This position reports to the President with ancillary reporting responsibilities to the Director of Finance and Director of Inventory and Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

Company Operations :

• Team Management : Manage and provide leadership to diverse group of team members, including warehouse staff and individual store personnel. Includes hiring and onboarding, attendance, disciplinary actions, and occasional backup support to managers during employee absences.
• Building Maintenance and Operating Supplies : Manage building maintenance throughout ACS in coordination with store managers and the Director of Finance. Coordinate and manage equipment and technology purchases and maintenance.
• Fleet Management : Manage FMCSA & DOT regulations along with procurement and maintenance of company vehicles.
• Shipping : Manage transfer process between main warehouse and store locations.  Process UPS and LTL shipments.
• Strategic Planning : Develop and implement short-term and long-term operational plans aligned with the company's overall strategic goals.
