About the Role

  • Annual volume : 14,500
  • Daily physician coverage : 24 hours per day
  • 12-hour shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a
  • Daily APC coverage : 9 hours per day
  • Hospital beds : 70
  • ED beds : 11
  • Fast track : yes
  • Board requirements : board certified or eligible
  • Board specialties required : emergency medicine (EM), family practice (FP) or internal medicine (IM)
  • Certifications required : ATLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Acuity level : medium
  • Women's Choice Award in Emergency Care - 2024, 2023, 2022 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 - this award recognizes The Bellevue Hospital as being in the top one percent for emergency care in the United States

Planted in 4 Ohio counties, Erie, Huron, Sandusky, and Seneca, Bellevue is a rarity and also part of 4 micropolitan and metropolitan areas including Fremont, Norwalk, Sandusky, and Tiffin. The National Arbor Day Foundation designated the city as a Tree City USA, and Bellevue was home to Henry Morrison Flagler when he partnered with John D. Rockefeller to start Standard Oil.
