Lead Software Engineer

Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Lead Software Engineer with a cutting-edge AI and cloud innovation client. This role focuses on designing and deploying scalable hybrid cloud and generative AI solutions across multiple platforms.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills :

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership in cloud-native and AI / ML projects
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Swagger for real-time LLM inference
  • Experience with generative AI models (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, GPT) and implementing RAG pipelines using Ray and VectorAI
  • Strong skills in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Crossplane
  • Familiarity with MLflow, DVC, and vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone) for scalable ML pipelines and semantic search
  • Experience orchestrating data workflows with Apache Airflow, Spark, and Flink

Location : Addison, TX

Onsite expectation : Hybrid (based on client expectations)

Pay range : $67.00 - $77.00 / hr W2
