SIGNING BONUS We are offering two signing bonuses. With satisfactory work and attendance, you would be eligible to receive $500 after 30 days and $1,000 after 6 months.

SUMMARY We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Machine Assembler I to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role will involve the building and testing of packaging machinery and systems. This position involves assembling mechanical and electrical components per machine specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements. It also includes testing and calibrating packaging machinery to meet product and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, hands-on, and will work with hand power tools to assemble products. Must be able to follow instructions and shadow trainers to learn the assembly process. Typically reports to a production lead or supervisor and works under immediate supervision. Additional responsibilities include crating and uncrating machines and equipment, the ability to operate a forklift to move crates and materials, and maintaining organization on the warehouse and production floors. Duties also involve inventory control, performing cycle counts, loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers, and coordinating shipments between facilities. The role follows established instructions and guidelines to carry out job functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Uncrating and crating packaging machinery to prepare for assembly and testing.
  • Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms, quality checklists, and inventory cycle counts.
  • Pull parts from inventory to assemble the machine.
  • Assembly of mechanical and electrical devices for packaging equipment using hand tools.
  • Drill and tap into metal or wood using hand power tools for the machine process.
  • Sorting and controlling the warehouse of large machines.
  • Unloading and loading trucks and shipping containers with equipment.
  • Basic testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of assembled products for defects and quality.
  • Document and update assembly processes as necessary.
  • The ability to commute to Engage building locations in Brooklyn Park, Rogers, and Big Lake, MN as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with other departments to address issues related to current systems and processes.

MISCELLANEOUS :

  • Maintain inventory accuracy. Participate in cycle counting program.
  • Use the business software system to perform routine transactions such as : receive and allocate jobs, kit and complete work orders, check stock levels, and review bill of materials as needed.
  • Work Safely. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Requires coordination and finger dexterity for tasks involving the use of power tools, hand tools, and similar equipment throughout most of the workday.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects weighing more than 40 pounds.
  • Required to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements during most of the workday.
