What We’re Looking For :
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and patient-focused
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, emergency situations
- Prior experience in emergency care settings preferred
- Completion of a medical assistant, nursing assistant, phlebotomy, or EMT course
- Certified Medical Assistant or 6 months of acute care ED experience or First Responder
- Preferred : CNA Certification, Basic EMT Certification, Military Medic experience, Phlebotomy Certification, or nursing student with completed fundamentals in RN program
- Crisis Prevention Training required within 6 months of hire

What You Will Do :
Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to assist in delivering quality care to patients and families in the Emergency Department.
Assist in patient assessment and treatment under RN or physician directionProvide direct care such as applying dressings, connecting monitors, performing urinary catheterizations, and prepping skin for proceduresSupport specimen collection and transport in adherence with universal precautionsAid in admission, discharge, and patient transfersParticipate in emergency response scenarios per BRGMC protocolAssist patients with toileting needs and accompany them for procedures as neededSupport physicians during minor proceduresKeep patients and families informed throughout treatmentPerform venipuncture after documented competencyAccurately document care provided and assist in data collection for nursing care plansObtain and record vital signs and intake / outputMonitor and restock supplies and emergency equipment per departmental standardsMaintain cleanliness of patient areas and ensure equipment is properly sanitized and ready for useAdhere to all safety, infection control, and environmental proceduresProvide support in managing psychiatric patient safety, including crisis de-escalation and participation in code responseWhat Sets BRG Apart :
