About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Scholar Achievement Officer (CSAO) to join its executive leadership team. The CSAO will be tasked with driving exceptional scholar achievement across the network, leading the strategic vision and implementation of teaching and learning programs, and overseeing school performance and leadership development. This role requires a deep commitment to building an anti-racist, pro-Black community and ensuring that all scholars, regardless of background, have access to high-quality learning opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and driving a vision for scholar achievement, championing a culture of continuous improvement, and leading efforts to close opportunity gaps and promote scholar success.
Candidates for the CSAO position at the company should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s or doctorate preferred, and at least seven years of progressive leadership experience in secondary education. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving significant gains in scholar achievement, expertise in curriculum and instruction, and a strong background in data-informed decision-making and school improvement. The role demands a leader with superior communication skills, multicultural competence, and a deep commitment to equity and anti-racism. The CSAO will be expected to work closely with the CEO and the Cabinet to develop and execute strategies that improve instructional quality, strengthen leadership capacity, and create inclusive learning environments.
