Principal Engineer (Mechanical)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position manages conceptual design for specified addition, this role manages a larger group of engineers, responsible for achieving project goals and objectives.

What you’ll do :

• May establish department objectives based on company strategic goals
• Ensures engineering standards are maintained and followed
• Provides design and engineering support to other departments as needed
• Services as design expert at project team meetings
• Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
• Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating / cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, etc.
• Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
