Director of AI Product Management & Governance

Location : Onsite – Houston, TX

Compensation : $180,000 – $220,000 base salary + 20–30% bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of AI Product Management & Governance to lead the development, delivery, and oversight of AI products across the enterprise. This position is pivotal in balancing cutting-edge product innovation with responsible AI governance and enterprise enablement , ensuring AI solutions are impactful, ethical, and scalable.

The ideal candidate combines deep product management expertise , a strong grounding in AI / ML technologies , and a pragmatic approach to governance and training that empowers the enterprise to adopt AI responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Management

  • Define and drive the enterprise AI product roadmap from concept to deployment and scale.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful AI solutions.
  • Oversee lifecycle management, user adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion user-centric design, performance metrics, and outcomes-driven delivery.

AI Governance

  • Establish and implement governance frameworks ensuring compliance with ethical, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Partner with legal, risk, and compliance teams to manage AI transparency, fairness, and risk.
  • Serve as an enterprise thought leader on responsible AI practices.
  • Training & Enablement

  • Design and execute an enterprise-wide AI training strategy.
  • Develop persona-based curricula and hands-on training for diverse business functions.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, and communications to scale AI literacy.
  • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and governance specialists.
  • Influence cross-functional partners across engineering, data science, HR, and legal.
  • Represent AI strategy in executive forums and enterprise leadership discussions.
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in AI / ML or data products.
  • Demonstrated success implementing AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of AI / ML technologies, lifecycle management, and infrastructure.
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise training and enablement programs.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (advanced degree preferred).
