General Job Responsibilities :
Perform thorough pre-anesthesia assessments, including reviewing patient history, conducting physical exams and discussing anesthesia plans with patients.Administer anesthesia under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist, including general, regional and monitored anesthesia care.Provide continuous patient monitoring and anesthesia adjustments during procedures.Provide post-anesthesia care, including managing any complications related to anesthesia.Ensure continuity of care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals.Provide immediate response for anesthesia-related emergencies.Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.Skills :
Strong understanding and application of anesthesia techniques and practices in various surgical settings.Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.Effective communication skills.Proficiency in using anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices.Skilled in meticulously monitoring patient vitals and managing anesthesia levels.Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.Minimum Education Requirements :
Master's-level degree in an anesthesiologist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).License & Certifications :
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas.Certain life support certifications may be required for various assignments.Experience :
