Job Title : Floor Support
Pay Rate : $17-$18 / hr.
Shift : 2nd (2 PM-10 : 30 PM) & 3rd (10 : 30 PM- 7 AM)
Benefits : Medical, Dental, AD&D
Reports To : Production Supervisor
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs assigned duties and acts in a manner that adheres to company safety policies and practices.
Removing full pallets from production floor with pallet jack.
Utilize RF Scanner to scan labels.
Utilize pallet wrapper equipment
Brings boxes to production floor. Stocks operators with boxes as needed
Brings skids to the end of lines as needed.
Stage pallets for warehouse associates.
Back up inspector packers.
Maintain required material supply levels on the production floor.
Accurately records all transactions and item movements.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Displays teamwork in performance of all duties.
Participates in all required training and overtime assignments.
Supervisory Functions : None.
Skills and Abilities : which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position :
1. Language : Perform reading, writing, and speaking at a minimal level.
2. Mathematical : Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
3. Reasoning : Ability to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
Physical / Visual Activities or Demands : Physical / visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
1. Standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, carrying, reaching, grasping, talking, and hearing.
2. Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination, or part time concentrated attention and coordination.
3. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with peripheral vision and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus, to judge distance and space relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
4. Medium to heavy work - exert up to 15 pounds of force continuously and up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Work Conditions : Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Physical conditions include close proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to high temperatures, noise and dust. Protective clothing that may be required includes hair net, safety glasses, earplugs and gloves.
