Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Review, code, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.

Verify accuracy of invoice data, purchase orders, and receipts.

Prepare and process check runs and ACH payments.

Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and documentation.

Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address billing or payment issues.

Support the accounting team with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

AP Invoice Processing Experience, handling around 25 invoices per week.

Proficiency in Excel.

Experience with credit card reconciliation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics / Navision.

Experience in government accounting is a plus.

Strong technical computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills.

Work Environment

This role is on-site 5 days per week in Boston. Employees will have their own desk and set up, working closely with a Sr. AP Specialist and reporting directly to the Assistant Controller. The company offers a stable environment within the Defense / Government space.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
