Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to our outpatient psychiatry services, promoting a positive relationship between clients and clinic staff. We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to :

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care
  • Provide information to patients to help them benefit from clinic services
  • Perform lab and phlebotomy duties
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment for clients

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment
  • Take patient histories and vital signs
  • Perform lab and phlebotomy duties
  • Provide information to patients to help them benefit from clinic services
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment for clients
  • Education, Experience, and / or Credential Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable state
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Phlebotomy training and previous lab experience preferred
  • One year of experience in a physician office setting preferred
  • Additional Qualifications :

  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
  • Physical Requirements :

  • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and / or writing during work shift. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
