Summary
We are a periodontal practice seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team! As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate is a Dental Assistant (DA) with a current x-ray license and has at least two years of experience. We utilize digital charts, digital radiographs, digital intraoral camera, CBCT, and Trios intraoral scanning. Responsibilities :
Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortableDiscuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they haveTake vital signs and accurately record medical historyPrep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and proceduresClean and sterilize operatory after each treatment is completedAssist dentist during procedures and exams with emphasis on maintaining high clinical standards and patient comfortTake diagnostic quality dental x-raysProvide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative careMaintain accurate and up-to-date dental records using dental software Open DentalAdhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies maintaining high standards of infection control and cleanlinessBe engaged in procedures; learn to anticipate the needs of the Doctor and patientArrive and run on time, making sure the Doctor’s and patient’s time is never wastedMonitor, order, and maintain stock of dental suppliesLearn setup for each procedure with correct materials / instrumentsRoutine maintenance of dental equipmentLight office cleaningShutting down and closing the office at the end of the dayQualifications
Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental AccreditationX-ray Certification is requiredCurrent Basic Life Support / CPR certification is requiredStrong computer and data entry skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to provide high-quality patient careSpanish speaking is a plusExperience in Open Dental is a bonusHaving had surgical experience is a bonus
