Ehands Manager
Location : Salt Lake City, UT
Direct Hire Pay : $94K to $116K
Job Description :
Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health and Safety (EHandS) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees. Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs. Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems. Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s). Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and / or functional peer group managers. Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects / schedules, etc. Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EHandS activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials. Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures. Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. Administers workers compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return to work program.
Required Experience : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EHandS and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines. 7 years of related experience in EHandS or related position. Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word.) Documentation skills Ability to work effectively with others. Supervisor previous experience Experience working with more than one operation.
Preferred Experiences : Previous experience in the manufacturing industry. Safety Certifications. Specific program experience i.e. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Safety, Risk Assessments (JHA, JSA, RA), Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Arial Work Platforms (AWP), Hearing Conservation, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis (Fishbone, 5-Why) ISO14001, 45001 Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Greenfield Process.
