Job Summary :
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This essential role involves coordinating high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician / provider orders while collaborating with a healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will ensure a supportive and compassionate atmosphere for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide excellent, patient-centered care adhering to organizational policies and the nursing process.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings accurately, and communicate changes in conditions to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for adverse effects, and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist physicians during procedures, supporting their efforts within your defined competencies.
- Collaborate in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Respond to medical emergencies and engage in life-saving procedures, including CPR and code team activities.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of patients, ensuring their active involvement in care planning and delivery.
- Educate patients and families on their conditions, care plans, and post-discharge instructions for clear understanding and adherence.
- Maintain infection control protocols to safeguard against healthcare-associated infections.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment necessary for patient care and safety.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
- Participate in compliance audits and initiatives to uphold standards of practice and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in professional development to retain clinical competency and stay updated on nursing standards.
- Contribute to performance improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications :
- 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or relevant student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
Skills and Competencies :
- Extensive knowledge of nursing practices and processes.
- Ability to perform thorough assessments and communicate findings efficiently.
- Skilled in medication administration and monitoring.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Licenses and Certifications :
- Registered Nurse - State Licensure or Compact State Licensure required.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.

- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
