Job Title : Technician

Job Summary :

This position is located at the Milliken - Magnolia site in Blacksburg, SC. The Technician reports to the Engineering Services Engineer. This position is r esponsible for providing expedient service to the facility's equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and quality performance involved with manufacturing and processing our products.

Key Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required equipment service
• Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order
• Inform appropriate management and maintenance / production associates of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
• Assist other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
• Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the Milliken Safety Process

The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in the following :

Training in mechanical skills (bearings, pneumatics, chains, hydraulics, etc.) will be provided via hands-on and online study. Completion of the 160 hours of on-line study and mechanical skills development is a requirement to progress to the higher pay grades.

Prior mechanical experience on powered industrial equipment is a plus.

Pay Rate Range : $22.00 - $24.41
