Property Acquisition Specialist 4, Surplus Agent

WSDOT is currently seeking a Property Acquisition Specialist 4, Surplus Agent in our Northwest Region. The purpose of Real Estate Services Office (RES) is to support successful delivery of transportation projects and coordinate real estate transactions. RES stewards the agency's property assets and supports program delivery through guidance and policy development related to property valuations, acquisitions, relocation, and property management. This position is responsible for surplus property management (PM) activities, as well as other specialized activities in real or personal property within the NWR Property Management department as needed to accomplish agency goals.
In this position you will process surplus property sales and assist with other regional PM duties as assigned. This role includes coordinating with HQ PM staff and collaborating with WSDOT employees across other disciplines to support the review and delivery of surplus sales. Conduct field work involving the inspection of subject properties in the NWR, often in inclement weather and across uneven terrain. You will also provide disposal and property management services to internal and external clients by inventorying, maintaining, marketing, and disposing of department properties that are no longer needed for highway purposes. This work includes updating outdated surplus property information and identifying or resolving issues that may have previously hindered the sale of these properties.

This is a project opportunity, expected duration 01 / 01 / 2034. This recruitment may also be used to fill additional positions per business needs. This position offers flexible / hybrid remote work options. The salary listed includes the legislative approved 5% salary premium for positions in King County. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.
