Cath Lab RN – Job Summary

Hiring Process :

Profile review with MedSol Clinical

Interview with the unit manager

Radius Rule :

Must live 60+ miles away; DL required

Orientation :

Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week (even if first-day modules are remote)

Unit Details :

Unit : Cath Lab (combined Cath & IR)

Suites / Labs : 2

Avg Cases / Day : ~4 (Cath + IR)

Certifications Required :

BLS, ACLS

Patient Types :

STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemakers

IR patients (combined lab)

Job Duties :

Circulate and monitor cases

Pre- and post-procedure care

Pre / post-procedure patient calls

Experience Required :

Cath Lab experience required

IR experience preferred (or willing to learn)

Equipment / EMR :

Epic, MacLab, Siemens

Provider Coverage :

Cardiologist in-house during the day

On call overnight

Leadership : Manager : Tara Horne

Nurse Coordinator : John Crane

Staffing :

Cath Lab Techs on unit

Shifts & Scheduling :

RNs work 4×9-hour shifts per week

Weeknight Call : ~10 per month

Weekend Call : Every 3rd weekend (Fri–Sun)

Holiday Call : Required; shared (1 major summer + 1 major winter)

Call Response Time : 30 minutes

Floating :

No floating to other facilities

Dress Code : Provided blue scrubs

Orientation :

Unit orientation over several days following facility orientation
