Security Officer - Education Hallway Patrol

As a Security Officer - Education Hallway Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Mon 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Tue 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Wed 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Thur 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to assist with access control and help to deter prohibited items or behavior on the premises.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, and other unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with school administration and Allied Universal management to support a secure environment tailored to the needs of an educational location.
  • Remain alert and observant during all shifts, adapting to changing conditions and requirements specific to the educational environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
