Reports To : Surveying Department Manager
Education : College Level Courses in Land Surveying
Registration : None
Experience : None
Duties :
- Perform assigned tasks to aid in completing a project
- Attend project-related meetings
- Assist manager with client contact
- Internal department contact
- Meet project deadlines and budgets
- Perform project research
- Assist in preparing field books, legal descriptions, route surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, 3D Surfaces, ALTA / ACSM Surveys and data for construction staking
- Assist in downloading and uploading information to data collectors
- Process field data
- Communicate with field crews and office staff to provide quality services
- Communicate with field crews to ensure quality services
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills :
Able to work independently, with support from Department Manager or Project SurveyorPossess good communication skillsAble to work within a “team concept”Proficient in use of the Indiana Design Manual – Part III Location SurveysProficient in use of the State of Indiana Administrative Code – Rules 12 and 13Working knowledge of the INDOT Design ProcessWorking knowledge of the INDOT Land Acquisition ProcessProficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to meet deadlinesPhysical Requirements :
Able to work seated or standing for 9 or more hours per work dayAble to work 40 or more hours per work week, as neededAble to outdoors in all weather conditionsAble to travel throughout Indiana including overnight staysAble to perform survey field work and drive survey vehicleAble to carry survey equipment while traversing uneven or difficult terrainOther Requirements :
Possess a valid Indiana driver’s licenseMaintain compliance for MICCS programAgree to abide by the personnel policies identified in the Company PolicyRequirements :
