Company Description

As a certified medical assistant at Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates, you will work alongside a successful and dynamic team of Providers to support the clinical needs of the center.

Role Description

  • Responsible for taking patients vital signs, height, weight, urine specimen and inputting these values into EMR system
  • Responsible for obtaining / updating patients chief complaints, allergies, medications, and medical history, then transferring that information into the patients EMR chart
  • In charge of prepping / stocking exam rooms for patients visit
  • Accountable for cleaning exam rooms and tables in between patients
  • Process orders and package specimens to be sent out to labs
  • Effectively triage patient calls in a timely manner
  • Maintain OSHA compliant lab utilizing protective personal equipment, sterilizing medical equipment and working in a safe manner at all times
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely and thorough manner

Qualifications :

  • Not required but preferred : Previous Ob / Gyn or Women's Health experience
  • Must be proficient on a computer and familiar with EMR
  • Comfortable talking to patients and addressing concerns
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate well
  • Friendly, outgoing, team player attitude
