We are currently searching for a Junior level and Senior level CAD Technician to support our Southwest Region located in Texas .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordination and oversight of geometric design projects.
What you’ll be doing :
- Provide assistance to engineers using OpenRoads Designer to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects
- Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title and detail sheets on production sets of plans
- Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway / bridge projects
- Work with engineers to develop 3D models using both OpenRoads Designer
- Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance
- Research design options and documents findings
- Coordinates assignments with project team and supervisor
- Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Be a team player and assist other groups as needed
What you need to have :
Associate degree from a technical or four-year schoolDegree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field is preferred3-15 years of prior experience with roadway draftingUnder 3 years experience will be evaluated if applicant has a degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar fieldExperience in OpenRoads Designer is preferredExcellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environmentAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
