Corporate Safety Officer

Our client in Providence, RI is seeking a Corporate Safety Officer to lead and continuously improve the enterprise safety program for a healthy, safe, and accident free workplace, including project based work for public sector and private sector customers in the construction industry. This will include, but is not limited to, developing, implementing, and leading the execution of : safety related policies, programs, handbooks and manuals; assessments; site visits; incentive programs; corrective actions; and training programs. You will ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and company safety regulations, policies, and procedures. You will work with executive leadership, other internal staff, customers, insurance companies, health care providers, and regulatory agencies on a regular basis.

To be considered, you must have :

• At least 4 - 5 years of construction safety experience, which includes both public and private sectors
• A strong understanding local, state, and federal safety regulations and compliance requirements, an ability to enforce adherence to these requirements, and provide training
• A proven ability to effectively interact and communicate across an organization and with external customers in the construction industry
• OSHA500 or OSHA30 Certification
