Job purpose
The Training Coordinator will work closely with the Plant Manager, Unit Managers, Supervisors, and other members of the leadership team to prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate, and document training activities.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities are :
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and ensure OSHA compliance
- Organize and develop training programs that align with the operating unit, identifying specific training needs to address current and future training requirements.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of training records, including collection and data entry.
- Organization of the temporary-to-permanent employee process.
- Facilitates the train-the-trainer program for all mentors and department trainers to ensure the continuity within the training program
- Monitors the performance of the facilities’ trainers and mentors for consistency and effectiveness.
- Ability to become efficient and train all operations of the plant.
- Ability to support flexible shift patterns to have touchpoints with trainees on off shifts.
- Communicate to the leadership team Training KPI’s(New Hire Turnover Rate, Trainer Success Rate, Hire Date-to-Certification Date period).
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Experience
Experience required :
Bilingual preferred- Proficient in the English and Spanish languages (read, write, talk).1-2 years of prior experience working in a leadership capacityPreferably, Training Coordinator experience with training material (SOP) development and execution of the training program.Strong leader with good interpersonal skills and written / oral communication skills.A continuous improvement mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks with minimal supervision and the willingness to be flexible with job responsibilities.Proficiency with computers and production management systems (e.g., SAP)Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Ability to meet the scheduling and attendance expectations of the role, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours as appropriate.Strong ability to communicate, verbally and in writing.Strong ability to communicate through public speaking and written communication.Education
